We are seeking an experienced Cypress Automation Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automation testing using Cypress and knowledge of Android automation using Appium. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of our web and mobile/Android applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Cypress for web applications
- Develop and execute automated tests for Android applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, DevOps) to identify testing requirements
- Develop and maintain test frameworks, test scripts, and test data
- Execute automated tests, report defects, and collaborate on defect resolution
- Participate in test planning, test case development, and test execution
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD
- Monitor and optimize test automation performance and reliability
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in automation testing using Cypress
- 2+ years of experience with Android automation
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript programming skills
- Familiar with python or Java programming language
- Knowledge of mobile/Android automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso)
- Experience with testing frameworks like Mocha or Chai
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git)
- Hands-on experience with Android Studio or similar IDEs for Android app testing.
- Knowledge of Android SDK and device/emulator setup.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have:
- Experience with other automation frameworks (Selenium) for web application testing.
- Certification in automation testing or related field
- Understanding of API testing and tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
- Familiarity with Cloud Testing Platforms Like AWS Device Farm.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
